Every Child  Deserves a Family that Loves and Nurtures Them and a Safe Place to Call Home

About picture two

Count Me In 4 Kids seeks to establish a sustainable forum to best match the needs of at-risk, foster, aging out foster, juvenile justice children and their families with the services and resources needed and with individuals and entities who want to help.

At the heart of this vision is a shared belief that children need all of us to succeed.

The Count Me In 4 Kids collaborative is a group of individuals representing a host of organizations that exist to shine a light on the idea that each of us can do our part to connect resources with the needs of these children and families.

In the summer of 2012, a group of Oklahoma City business leaders began to dream about engaging the citizens of Oklahoma in support of some of the state’s most vulnerable children and families…those at-risk, in foster care, aging out of foster care, adoptive, and juvenile justice.

Realizing that the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS) shouldn’t have to bear the responsibility of supporting children and families alone, a new public/private collaborative, Count Me In 4 Kids (CMI4K) was launched.

As a result of many discussions concerning what could make a meaningful difference for children, this website and the accompanying mobile application has been developed to establish a sustainable resource platform to better connect organizations serving children and families. Additionally,  CMI4K is committed to increasing public participation in providing appropriate, timely, loving homes and support for children, while also providing support for families.
